Last year the Crown Estate consulted local people on its plans for a new neighbourhood at Nerrols, north east Taunton. This website provides an update on the feedback from the public consultation and on the latest plans.

Since the consultation we have been reviewing the feedback and discussing the key issues raised. These included education, transport and ecology, which we have been discussing with bodies such as Somerset County Council and Taunton Deane District Council. These comments and discussions have helped to refine our planning application which has now been submitted to Taunton Deane Borough Council. A decision on the application is expected to be made later this year.
